Both were of importance for their own nation, and both had an inextinguishable fire of love. The power of their love brought nations to their knees, and this has become one of the most powerful romantic stories of all time.

The Faithfulness of Love (Odysseus & Penelope)
The love story of Odysseus and Penelope is one of the most wonderful tales of all time as both of them showed absolute faithfulness in each other. Penelope stayed faithful to her husband, Odysseus, even though she had no idea whether her husband was still alive or not. Everybody thought that Odysseus had died, and many suitors came to take Penelope’s hands in marriage. She stood her ground and refused them all; believing that her husband would return soon. The same faithfulness was shown by Odysseus as he was lost during his journey home. He was stuck on Calypso’s Island, where Calypso seduced Odysseus to be with her. Odysseus refused her, and his heart and mind were filled with determination to go back to Penelope. At the end of the story, Odysseus found his way back home, and both were reunited at last!
Inspired by their faithful love, these are the patron flowers of Odysseus & Penelope:
- Dianthus
- Lily
- Rose
- Sunflower
- Tulip
The Heroic Love (Perseus & Andromeda)
Both Perseus and Andromeda fell in love with each other at just their first sight! It was the kind of love story that involved the heroic action of Perseus that saved Andromeda. In this story, Perseus was just sailing by when he spotted Andromeda, who was tied to a large rock at the surface of the sea. A sea monster was already en-route to devour Andromeda. She was almost eaten alive when all of a sudden Perseus came to the rescue and saved Andromeda. Ever since then, their love was inseparable!
